Alien At The Beach – Redbubble
I’ve added this piece to my Redbubble account. Now you too can have a strange shark creature emblazoned on your chest and/or other possessions perhaps!
Alien At The Beach
I hear that this past month was #Mermay in the art community. While I don’t have a mermaid, I do have my OC Morritriole, an alien that looks like a hybrid of a shark and a weasel. They’re having a relaxing time at the beach, eating some fish.
West Marches: Familiars and Stones
I’ve been part of a West Marches/Dungeons and Dragons campaign with my OC, Bravo, for the past time. She’s a Warlock with a cat-like familiar and just recently got a magic rock that orbits her head, leading to this little comic wherein cats and small, flying objects don’t mix.
I had spent way too long on this already when I decided to throw some shading on; they might be nonsense shadows, but they’re there.
WIP: West Marches Comic
Well, this is finally starting to come together. It’s a comic about my OC whom I am using in a Dungeons and Dragons / West Marches campaign. It’s about small objects orbiting your head and the cats that attack small objects orbiting your head.
Since I’ve been working on this for too long, mostly because I frequently stare blankly into eternity all day, I’m just going to slap together the outside real fast and then try to figure out what shadows are. Also, Krita isn’t able to save this as a Photoshop document anymore? That’s annoying.
Sketch Page: Foliage Friends
Here’s a few plant fellas for the game that I’m totally still working on don’t worry about it it’s fine. One’s a tortoise of currently indeterminate composition and the other’s a fairy with a cornucopia.
For lesser plant enemies to get got, I came up with the veggie sprites. I considered consolidating everything into my preexisting character, Coby the corgi-tree, but the sprites wouldn’t be thematically consistent for him.
I’ve also kinda gotten attached to the tortoise and fairy. They’re neat.
Sketch Page: Calcium Crew
So, I’ve been sitting on some sketches for a while for no particular reason. This one has a bunch of skeleton studies of sorts on it. There’s: a dog druid, I guess; a crow plague doctor/shadow monster; and a bull cyborg. I did some turn-arounds of the skulls, but I clearly don’t quite understand pelvises yet.
These are character concepts for the game I’m still totally working on (I opened it up and stared at it all day a couple of days ago and everything!). The problem: filling levels with Pokémon-able enemies without having to flesh out each and every one as full characters. The solution: some enemies, like the Calcium Crew, fold into an overarching character that uses them, like a necromancer.
WIP: West Marches Comic
Hey! This sketch of my Dungeons and Dragons/West Marches character in her room is finished. It’s just a little scene of her and her cat familiar interacting with a newly obtained Ioun Stone.
This would probably be finished-finished by now if my work process wasn’t: open the project in the morning; think my thoughts while staring into space; maybe work on it in the dead of night.
WIP: Room Sketch
I’m sketching a room! For purposes! It’s slow going because perspective and inexperience and lines. There’s going to be An Person and such in there as well, once I’ve got the room set up.
Gigantamax Raichu/Gorochu
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, there’s a new feature called Dynamax/Gigantamax, wherein a Pokémon changes form and gets real big. So, I decided to design a Gigantamax form for my favorite Pokémon, Raichu.
It’s based partly off of Raichu’s scrapped evolution, Gorochu, and partly off the Japanese thunder god, Raijin. The tail is influenced by Pikachu’s Gigantamax form.
Java Jazz
I don’t what it is, but I’ve just been debilitatingly exhausted as of late. I’ve got a bunch of sketches to clean up and compilations to finish sketching but I just want to sleep all the time instead.
To that end, I felt it was appropriate to finish my original character, Jasmine “Jazz” Harper, having a sleepy cup of coffee and that mug doesn’t look right, does it? Whatever.
Oh! And, keeping with the theme, I have a “Ko-fi“. And it’s on Redbubble, too.
