Doodling a representation of Samuel Vimes from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.
So I set up a Roll20 account because all I do all day is sit in my parent’s basement and stare blankly into the Internet, never interacting with anybody because I’m depressed.
Regardless of the deep self-deprecation, I’ve got into a game of Curse of Strahd and wound up rolling up a rogue for the team. But I didn’t want to just be a stealthy, stealie boy so I based my character’s concept off of Samuel Vimes from Discworld… and then, lacking any real identity for him, I gave my character Sam’s name and character, too, so now I’m just roleplaying as Sam Vimes, which I’m not super comfortable with.
I drew a caricature of the Sam Vimes from the cover of Snuff, to get an idea of what the character was going to look like, and then one of my compatriots found a similar character in the same art style as everyone else’s characters.
Sam Vimes is a genius character. I wish I was competent enough to come up with something half as good as Terry Pratchett’s Discworld.
Just sketching some Splatoon. I’m very glad the Splat Brella is available for multiplayer now, after a MONTH of it being in the singleplayer, but I still hate how Crusty Sean’s Gear Ability drink tickets seem to be utterly worthless.
For my last sketches of June before I lost interest in things, I sketched a bunch of Mario characters for that hypothetical new Paper Mario concept that goes back to more of the original style that I COMPLETELY ORIGINALLY thought up by myself.
I also drew Mia, the Best Character™ from Xenoblade Chronicles X. I really wanted to enjoy Xenoblade X as much as I enjoyed the original Xenoblade, but it just was lacking in the things that made Xenoblade enjoyable for me. And Xenoblade 2 looks to be going back to focus more on the story and characters, but I hate how the characters look, so…
Anyways, here’s the general concept for this hypothetical game.
Bowser attempts to kidnap Peach like always and tries fleeing in the Clown Copter. Mario hangs on and Bowser’s attempts to lose him causes them to crash onto an island, separating the three. Bowser gets abducted by, like, a cult that drains him of his powers to resurrect an ancient evil. Or something.
Just a couple of sketches of Bravo being tired like me and then I just drew a bunch of squares and an environment for some reason. Whatever.
So, I’m not going to be able to sketch at work anymore, since I’ll need to be “PCI compliant” which means I can’t have a method of permanently recording information on my desk.
Anyways, here’s a sad Yoshi because I, too, am Sadayoshi and then a Yoshi just to try to figure out what the hell their anatomy is, plus a bit of terrible pose study with Bravo and a sketch of Daud from Dishonored.
I draw cards for birthdays and holidays because I’m cheap, but I drop hundreds of dollars on digital garbage for mobile games because I’m dumb.
I’ve been drawing that old Super Mario enemy, the Battle Beetle, and other assorted video game characters for my grandparents a lot and round owls for my dad. It used to just be an assorted Judgement Owl™, an owl with Judging Eyebrows™, but now it’s Rowlet.
So here’s the last of May’s sketches, just in time to start uploading what little garbage I had worked up the bother to do during June.
I sketched Bravo doing her hair up like Lúcio’s in his Anniversary skin, some sort of inept perspective study with Jazz, Kyouka Jirou from My Hero Academia, and an attempt at drawing Sombra’s Azúcar skin from memory which is why there’s so many elements missing.
