Hooray, no more audio feedback! Anyways, I begin to make my way to the office of Vice-Overseer Byrne through his territory of crazed zealots and hang out in a few apartments for a while.
I trundle about Paolo’s hideout for a while, contemplating my next moves, then head down into the neutral marketplace and through a hole in the wall into the territory of the Overseers.
Also, it’s an unfortunate choice to have your movement ability also be what you use to grab things from a distance.
I first encounter the bane of my existence, the Jindosh Riddle protecting Aramis Stilton’s mansion, and later learn that gang-leader Paolo’s seeming immortality comes from possessing the severed hand of the previous game’s Granny Rags, because that’s sane.
I start my trek to discovering the truth behind Delilah’s immortality, hidden away in Aramis Stilton’s mansion, and have a tech issue with my headphones that causes an audio feedback for a few episodes.
Does Delilah Copperspoon is immortal?
Yes. Yes, she is. I discover that Delilah returned from the dead and gained immortality in the mansion of Aramis Stilton somehow, explore the conservatory, and die a bunch because my computer is very upset with this game.
I meander around the conservatory for a bit, learning of Delilah and Ashworth’s designs on the Oracular Order, and then sabotage the Oraculum to strip Ashworth of her Void powers. Then I get very confused because I don’t realize doing this knocks everything in the building unconscious.
I grab the Roseburrow Prototype and die to the witches responding to the alarm, then manually trigger the alarm and live, and trade it in for some fairly substantial cash and gear upgrades.
I head out from the Outsider Shrine from yesterday, glitch a bit, and head into the Royal Conservatory after checking in with the Black Marketeer’s conspicuously absent compatriot.
Nature Witches™: Astonishingly Flammable.
I make my way through the side alleys of the city, to circumvent the Wall of Light, and accidentally toss one of Delilah’s witches into a fire.
I spend a while chatting with the recently liberated Sokolov and the others aboard the Dreadful Wale before starting the trek to the Royal Conservatory and meeting the worst con-artists of all.
